Whether the substance on your carpet is a spot or a stain determines how you approach the job of removing it.  A spot is something you can feel with your fingers.  A stain is substances that are imbedded in the fibers such as synthetic or organic dyes and sometimes spots can turn into stains if not treated properly and quickly.  Most spots can be removed by simply applying a drop of dishwashing liquid to a moist white rag, gently agitating the area and rinsing with a clean damp rag.  If you think you have a stain be aware that over the counter product may set the stain permanently. Do you think your sofa is clean?

Here is a great example of an upholstery cleaning. This is from a customer who could not believe we could get her sofa this clean. Great Job Juan!!

One of the most common questions we get is what should I do when something is spilled on the carpet. The most important factor in removing the spot is to act quickly. Never rub aggressively at a carpet stain, this may only cause it to smear and become permanent. Absorb as much of the liquid as possible by blotting stain.  Never put anything on the stain that is you are unsure about.  Some over the counter spotters can deplete the dye in your carpet and can leave dirt attracting residue making the spot even larger. The safest spotter to use is a couple of drops dish liquid on a hot damp white rag.  Place it over the spot; tamp the back of the rag and repeat the process if necessary.
